First published in 1985, Rich and Poor was a seminal development in photographic experimental story telling. Goldberg made portraits of individuals from all social classes, the subject then wrote their impression of the image on the face of the photograph. The combination of text and image investigates myths about class, power and happiness, revealing an intimate portrayal of the human condition.

Recreated here as postcard sets limited to 300 signed editions, the sets feature 10 cards, a hand numbered and signed colophon and a double sided foldout poster, illustrating both sides of the economic scale. Materials are offset printed on heavyweight matte paper. The set is finished with a hand crafted and etched plexi cover wrapped in black butcher paper and sealed with an iconic Rich and Poor label.
